Memorial Hall, Harvard University in Boston,
Massachusetts. North Country Unfading Black roofing slate was recently chosen as one of the slate colors to be utilized in
the rebuilding of the long lost tower of Memorial Hall at Harvard University. One of the most historically significant
buildings on the famous campus, and built as a memorial to Harvard's Civil War dead, its tower had been destroyed by
fire in 1956 and temporarily (44 years) capped with a flat roof.
Harvard's selection process makes it very difficult to get into their academic programs as a student, and so it is,
that they only allow "the best of the best" into their building programs. Selected for its smooth, uniform texture
and very strong S-1 rating under ASTM C406, North Country has been used on several restoration and maintenance projects
on the Harvard campus.
