Elevate Your Craft: Professional Slate Roofing Training
Investing in specialized training is one of the highest-return decisions a roofing company or independent contractor can make. Natural slate is a premium, long-lasting material that requires precise, specialized skill to handle correctly. Proper education in slate roofing practices protects your business from costly installation errors, builds immediate credibility with high-end clients, and unlocks a highly lucrative market that general roofing crews cannot touch.
To help contractors upscale their skills and bridge the education gap in the industry, North Country Slate is covering 50% of the training cost for the first 8 registrations. While this specialized education is normally $1,300 CAD, North Country Slate's incentive drops the price to just $650 CAD per registrant.
We are offering two introductory, industry-recognized courses designed to give you immediate, practical competence:
A comprehensive guide to successfully install a slate roof from eave to ridge. You will work directly on a comprehensive roof mockup with slate tools to cut, punch, and trim slate, while learning how to properly nail (hang slate), and correctly integrate vital flashings.
Focused on preserving existing structures. This course teaches you how to evaluate older roofs, perform routine maintenance, execute historical restorations, and handle emergency or temporary repairs, while equipping you with three invaluable industry reference books.
